COMMUNITY SERVICE

Community Service is an activity that benefits the community. It should be designed around real community needs and be engaging, challenging and meaningful. Community Service must be arranged with school counselor.
Any student may participate in Community Service Work Experience
A minimum of 80 hours must be accumulated during a semester to obtain .50 credits toward graduation
Your supervisor must document and sign all hours that you work
A daily written journal must be kept and turned in at the end of your community service work. It could include: what you did, what you thought about the experience, etc.
A typed, two page, double spaced paper must be turned in at the end of your community service work. It should reflect your feelings about your work. It could include any or all of the following information:
An overview of the work experience
Where was your community service performed?
What was your job description?
Include the time frame that the work was completed
What knowledge did you gain from this experience?
What did you like and dislike about this experience?
Did this work experience influence you regarding your working career?
