Education is definitely a Team Sport.  Communication is the key.  Please don't hesitate to contact any of your child's teachers, counselors or administrators with any questions of concerns.

 

 

Just a Head's Up

  • Students NEED to participate every single day!

  • Athletic shoes that TIE properly are the only safe choice for fitness and sport activities.

  • If a student needs time off due to illness or injury,  please make sure they bring a note from the doctor

  • If you have an injury you can choose activities that do not affect the injured area. You should still dress!

  • Physical Education is IMPORTANT!  Without physical health, mental health is WASTED

ALL STUDENTS WILL-  Participate in activities that promote improvement in the five components of health related fitness every single day.  The focus of the program is physical activity and fitness for a lifetime.  Students will also learn techniques and strategies involved in team and individual sports.

8th Grade Students-  Will be in P.E. for an entire semester.  By grade 8 students will be exposed to different strategies involved in team and individual sports.  Skill progression will continue.  Students will be exposed to a wider variety of skills and games.  The focus of the program will still be to promote a healthy, active lifestyle. 

6th-7th Grade Students-  wWill be in p.e. for 10 weeks.  The focus of the program will be the same but skills and strategies will be age appropriate.  It is never too early or too late to take a p.e. class.  Fitness and sport activities are important for people of ALL ages!
