SCMS Dress Code

Any mode of dress which is conspicuous and brings undue attention is improper - if in doubt, don't wear it.

The dress guidelines are listed below so that students and parents may know what apparel is acceptable for school:

Clothing should be neat, clean and inoffensive. Bare chests (showing cleavage) or bare midriffs, tank tops of any kind, baggy clothing, clothing with inappropriate language or symbols, open armed/sleeveless and halter shirts are examples of inappropriate attire.

Sunglasses, sweatbands, and hats are inappropriate attire.

Shoes or sandals must be worn at all times. Socks must be worn with any open-toed sandal or flip-flop.

Dress and cleanliness are subject to safety, health standards, and governmental statutes.

Sponsors of co-curricular activities may establish appropriate dress guidelines for participation.

Guys....please keep your pants pulled up.  No one wants to see your underwear
Pajama type pants are not appropriate
Clothes shouldn't have excessive rips regardless of the current style
Appropriate length skirt or shorts must be worn with Tights or Leggins
Apparel is acceptable only if it is mid-thigh or longer.

If in doubt, please don't wear it to school
