North Central Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges.   A North Central Outcomes Accredited High School


LOCATION

Located 50 miles northeast of Detroit on the St. Clair River, I-94 to Marine City (exit 248), turn right on Marine City Highway, right on King Road, left on Ward Street to school.


FACILITY

School built in 1961. Pool and classroom addition in 1975. Additional classrooms, guidance and main office complex completed in 1990.  Distance Learning Lab, music rooms and science classrooms added in 2001.  Media center renovated in 2001. Additional classrooms added in 2002.


ENROLLMENT

656 students


Staff

39 faculty, all certified in their teaching areas.


Curriculum

90 courses in 13 departments are offered; advanced placement in calculus, English, physics, and U.S. History. The school year includes two 19 week semesters, each day includes six 58 minute periods and all classes meet daily. 


GRADUATES

Class of 2011: 178 students 68 percent of the 2011 graduates applied to attend either a two-year or a four-year degree granting institution.
