My name is Mrs. Jeani Van
Hecke and I am a kindergarten teacher at Gearing Elementary in
the East China School District. I have taught for three
years in kindergarten and love it! My favorite part about
teaching kindergarten is being a part of the many discoveries
that happen each and every day. I really enjoy watching
students create and apply new knowledge!
I am a lifelong resident of
St. Clair, having been born and raised here with my parents and
siblings. I continue to reside in St. Clair with my wonderful husband Matt of four years, and
our eight
year old Golden Retriever, Marley. What I love most about
this area is the beautiful St. Clair River and the small,
close-knit community. I couldn't imagine living anywhere
else! I
look forward to working with you and your family this school
