Positive Behavior Support is a comprehensive, team-driven approach. It is a systems approach that is integrated school-wide within all settings to provide for a safe, positive school climate that enhances the learning for all students. The home and school community work together to support students in learning responsible behavior and achieving academic success.

Our goal is to develop a school-wide support plan designed to help create a climate of academic excellence, cooperation, respect, and safety at Gearing Elementary School.

There are three universal school rules: Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible. Clear expectations for student behavior in both classroom and non-classroom settings have been developed. Each classroom behavior plan clearly reflects Gearing's 3B rules.

As we celebrate the start of each new school year, our annual Gator Gatherings with Mrs. Crandall provide emphasis on our three B rules: Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible.
